REXシーズン９ローマ編放送決定の嬉しいニュースの後は、REX部門別ランキングの予定だったんですけど、ここのところ思いめぐらすことがたくさんありまして（笑）
久々に「独り言」のカテゴリーに思いを綴りたいな…と。
ほ～んと正真正銘の独り言……。
こういうのはあまり得意ではないのですが、いつもコメントをいただているmstudioさんやマリさんのブログみたいな記事をアップしてみたいな～（笑）と思ったわけです。
ご存知の方も多いと思いますけど（知らない人の方が多いか…）私はMETALLICAの大ファンです（笑）
でも、METALLICAのファンになったのは、ほんの3年前、音楽はジャンルを選ばず何でも聴きます。最近の音楽はちょっと疎いですけど（笑）
ところでここ数日、気分が非常にダウンしてたのですが、不思議なタイミングで久々に目の前に飛び込んできた曲。
その偶然性に驚きながら、あらためてこの曲を聴き胸に迫るものがあった。

このバンド、Daughtryはアメリカン・アイドルシーズン５のファイナリストだったんですよね。
その頃、この番組よく見てて当時のこと、すごく覚えてるんですよ。
いいヴォーカルだな～、カッコイイな～と思ってたんですけど、1位にはなれなかったんですね。で、その後、2006年にメジャーデビューしてこの曲が発表された。
それほど、このバンドのことは知らないけれど、ヴォーカルのChris Daughtryの声は大好きです。こういう声質の人にはコロッといってしまうほど好きですね～。
余談ですけど（笑）最近めちゃくちゃはまってる声は、
Grand Funk RailroadのDon Brewer。
この方はドラム叩きながら唄います！ 完璧です（笑）

しかし、Daughtryのことなどすっかり忘れていたのに、突然、私の目の前に…。
この切ない感じ、ビデオもそうなんですけど胸に迫るものがあって。
あの当時はただただカッコイイ曲、ドラムをコピーしたりして何度となく聴きこんでいたのに、音楽というのは不思議なもので当時とはまったく違った形で胸に迫ってくる。
音楽って、人生にはなくてならないものだと、つくづく思いました…。
